Since my team was a disaster, figured I would do one positive thing. I created my Top 30 Prospect List:
Expert Top 100 Rankings: The Reds currently have 10 prospects on the MLB.com Top 100 prospects list. Kyle Harrison-10, Colson Montgomery-19, Harry Ford-24, Luisangel Acuna-42, Ronny Mauricio- 54, Dylan Lesko-61, Jeferson Quero- 68, Tyler Black- 91, Sebastian Walcott- 94, Connor Phillips- 98. Outside of the MLB.com Top 100 list, you can find Jeferson Quero as high as #11 on The Athletic, Everson Pereira in Top 60 for The Athletic and Sebastian Walcott as high as 40 on the Fangraph's Top Prospects list. You can find Kyle Harrison, Colson Montgomery and Harry Ford most consistently inside the Top 30 in majority Top 100 rankings.
Debuts: The Reds have seen multiple guys make their debuts this season, including: Maikel Garcia INF KC*, Lyon Richardson P CIN, Randy Vazquez P NYY, Alika Williams INF PIT, Prelander Berroa P SEA, Heliot Ramos OF SF*, Jordan Balazovic P MIN, Noah Davis P COL*, Jordan Diaz INF OAK* and Drew Waters OF KC*. The Reds have multiple guys getting close to making their debuts, including: Everson Pereira OF NYY, Connor Phillips P CIN and Ronny Mauricio INF NYM. (* = Played minimal games in 2022, I am going to count them for this section...)
Next Wave: The Reds with a few guys coming up soon, they have another wave of talent to follow. All these guys are under 20 years old and ranked on many of their team's prospect rankings: Dylan Lesko P SD, Carlos Jorge INF CIN, Hector Rodriguez OF CIN, Sebastian Walcott INF TEX, Marco Vargas INF NYM, William Bergolla INF PHI and Wilman Diaz INF LAD.
Good 2023 Seasons: Outside of all the guy's highlighted so far, the Reds organization is watching a couple of prospects who are having good seasons. These prospects include: Shane Drohan P BOS, Ryan Clifford 1B/OF NYM, Cory Lewis P MIN, Carson Seymour P SF, Diego Infante OF TB, Javi Rivera P CIN and Dylan MacLean P TEX. See if these guys can build off good seasons and continue to build into major league ready players.
The Next 5:
The Injured Bunch:
Injured: The Reds are hoping for bounce backs from these prospects next year after being injured for majority or all of 2023. Including: Nazier Mule P CHC (Tommy John), Leonardo Balcazar INF CIN (Torn ACL... I am sad) and Luis Devers P CHC (hurt early in season, now is back).
