Barry's Outlook
Lineup
The Phillies drafted R.Cano with their 2nd rd pick and have gone with experience over potential ever since with guys like J.Lucroy, M.Carpenter, P.Orlando who are consistent and perform on a day to day basis. I like K.Pillar not only for his defence which is quite worthy in this league but also for his hit tool (I have him going for 15HR this season) and stealing ability, J.Redick and J.Bour add extra bat power to the lineup.
Rotation
The rotation is nearly complete with C.Sale at the forefront it makes for pleasant viewing and most likely an CY young candidate come October barring any injuries. J.Eickhoff and J.A.Happ are both solid pitchers and are coming off the back of fantastic seasons...you cannot get a better starting 3 in a 30 team league than this imo. T.Koehler and M.Fiers round off the rotation with one more arm yet to come in.
Overall
This team is in win now mode I think this is as clear s day, the GM hasnt dipped into the prospect pool as of yet further highlighting his present winning mentality. I like the sturdiness of this team with very little to no holes to pick from, they will challenge for that playoff spot no problem.

Tony's Outlook
Lineup
Cano is the star among a solid lineup. Carpenter offers great production and the ability to play 3 positions. Lucroy, Bour, and Gregorios are all solid contributors. Pillar, Reddick, and Galvis also provide help.
Rotation
Chris Sale is the clear stud and fronts a pretty solid crew. Eickhoff, Happ, and Fiers all provide solid starts and good production. This staff should keep the Phillies in a lot of games.
Overall
A solid lineup and a solid staff should mean a lot of wins this summer. Look for the Phillies near the top of the standings most of the season. This roster lacks youth, as of now, and the offense is getting a little long in the tooth.

Barry's Outlook
Lineup
The Miami Marlins have a nice balance of power, avg, sb and defence ability to threaten every team in the league. J.T.Realmuto the catcher who has the ability to not only hit for power and avg. has also registered 12 SB last season and will prove to be a very nice asset if he continues to further produce such numbers. J.Votto, K.Calhoun and C.Granderson are very nice vets to build around who have plenty in the locker left. K.Calhoun just a few days ago committed his future to the Marlins by extending his deal to 3yrs which I can only imagine will mean he will retire here. A.Judge makes for a nice prospect bat.
Rotation
The rotation consists of risk and guaranteed success with J.Arrieta being the latter and an ace of this club, look for him to have a small bounce back from a season which many people had mixed feelings on. S.Miller is the ultimate risk and reward player in this draft let alone this team, after a disgusting season, one can only think there will be some sort of positive recovery back to the norm and at pick 325 in the draft thats not a bad place to put your bet. A.J.Puk is light years away but a quality arm at that
Overall
You might as well read the Phillies comments again and insert them here as the Marlins are another team who are challenging now but still possess AJ Puk and A.Judge for when those vets and rotation does become thin and weary....its looking like a really good division to monitor for the next part of the draft

Tony's Outlook
Lineup
A solid, veteran lineup with Votto, Solarte, Shoop, and Calhoun. The Marlins also feature upside with Aaron Judge, a powerful OF that looks to win a starting job in Spring Training. This is a steady blue collar lineup.
Rotation
Arrieta headlines a staff that also feature me Teheran, Miller, and Straily. Miller looks to bounce back after a tough season. AJ Puk is a highly touted prospect not likely to make an appearance this season.
Overall
The Marlins have a solid base on both sides. Arrieta is a bona fide ace, and Votto is very consistent. The lineup needs to be steady, because the staff has a bit of a roller coaster history that could swing either way. AJ Puk is the only prospect so far, but a few players here have room to grow.

Barry's Outlook
Lineup
The Nationals have decided to go with a youthful outlook that has a couple of vets sprinkled in for good measure. These youngsters arent just any youngsters, no...they come in the form of F.Lindor, D.Travis, C.Yelich and R.Tapia. J.Bautista, R.Braun, L.Cain and Moose arent at the end of their careers either so this team is stacked from top to bottom in the hitting department
Rotation
5 starters are already in place for the Nationals, with J.Gray rumoured to be their starter at opening day it doesnt look that promising even if you rate Gray highly as I do myself. Once you look deeper you begin to see C.Rodon and L.Weaver as high upside starters oozing with potential while L.Lynn and G.Gonzalez will provide solid numbers throughout the season
Overall
The Nationals have the perfect mix when it comes to the set up that they have so far with seasoned vets and experienced youngsters. I'll be interested to see how L.Weaver and C.Rodon perform though as that could determine if they finish 1st or 3rd in this heated division.

Tony's Outlook
Lineup
A young core of Lindor and Yelich, along with vets like Bautista, Travis, Cain, Braun, and Moustakas means the Nats should have an enjoyable summer. Prospects Devers and Tapia are a nice start to the Nats farm system.
Rotation
Gray and Rodon look to be the stars, but have to show they have what it takes to front a staff. Gonzalez has been solid through his career. Lance Lynn is coming off an injury that caused him to miss all last season.
Overall
This is another solid lineup in a division full of them. The pitching has more upside in Gray and Rodon, while the lineup has a solid, young core with veteran help throughout. This team’s window is open now, and they look to be competitive for a while.
New York Mets
Barry's Outlook
The Lineup
The Mets hitting lineup is founded on upside and potential with J.Altuve and CarGo as the only real players destined to perform like they have year in year out. T.Joseph intrigues me and I personally think he may lose his job to R.Hoskins which is why the Mets decided to draft him as well the perfect 'handcuff' move which will work out one way or another. H.Perez and E.Nunez are massive buts and ifs when it comes to performing like they did last year yet if they do my projection goes right out the window.
Rotation
J.DeGrom is the clear ace here, with C.Tillman a distant solid second option while R.Gsellman is at the end for now. R.Gsellman is another player that has question marks over him as to where he may start be it as a 6/7th starter or in the bullpen.
Overall
The Mets will be looking for a bit of the same from guys like Perez and Nunez which is no certainty at this point. They have adecent selection of young talent with the likes of Contreras,Drury and Hoskins, but might require to be patient in regards to the length of this process. Im leaning 60/40 for my prediction to be correct come season end....prove me wrong Robby!!
Prediction Place 4th 70-92
Tony's Outlook
Lineup
Altuve headlines a solid lineup in New York. Contreras, Joseph, Drury, and CarGo provide support, while Nunez and Perez offer flexibility. With Adames and Hoskins, this roster has some upside and should provide solid production for the coming season.
Rotation
DeGrom is the ace, but the staff still lacks depth. Tillman had a good season last year and looks to sustain the success. Gsellman battles back from offseason surgery and a crowded staff. Reed provided good production out of the bullpen last year.
Overall
The Mets look to have steady offensive numbers, but lack depth in the rotation. They look to hang around the middle as is, but could move up with added depth as the draft moves forward. The roster is being built with an eye on the future with some good young hitters, but features little upside on the pitching side.

Barry's Outlook
Lineup
The Braves must be and dont quote me on this but the youngest group of players in this league so far which I personally like. K.Bryant is the man in this franchise and there is no close second really, look for him to be as consistent as ever and put up numbers worthy of an MVP. N.Mazara is prospect coming off a decent first year, the Braves will hope the sophomore slump doesnt hit him too hard or they really will be in trouble. T.Mancini is touted to start at 1B and if and its a big if, he produces anything to the power he showed with the handful at bats he got last year than the fans are in for a treat.Personally think it may be hard for him to do so but time will tell. O.Albies,E.Jiminez and L.Brinson are a selection of players that can leave any true baseball fan foaming at the mouth, however there is no immediate impact from any of them come opening day, look more towards the all star break at the minimum for Brinson or Albies to get promoted.
Rotation
The rotation looks much more solid than the hitting lineup with R.Porcello at the front of it closely followed by V.Velasquez,A.Bradley and E.Rodirguez all of whom carry no assurance of a solid injury free season in the near future, that said all 3 have 2/3 starter potential so we cannot write these guys off this quickly..this is another situation that will become clear during spring training. I like the M.Strahm pick myself as he is said to be in with a shout of starting in the rotation and seeing as though the limited time he got last season he spent as a reliever a very good one at that, Ill be interested to see how he does in spring training in that role
Overall
This team as of now is built on future success, I like the youthfulness of the hitters and pitchers in this team and its sheer upside but cant see them challenging for any honours this year unless trades or a total shift in the draft strategy where to happen from now on
Prediction Place 5th 68-94
Tony's Outlook
Lineup
Kris Bryant leads the charge on offense coming off an MVP season. Mazara enjoyed a nice rookie season and looks to build upon it. The rest of the offense is a bit of a work in progress. Owings provides some versatility. There's a lot of upside with Jimenez, Albies, and Brinson.
Rotation
Atlanta has a solid rotation lead by Rick Porcello coming off a Cy Young award. The rest of the staff offer high upside in Glasnow, Rodriguez, Bradley, and Velasquez. Velasquez had a breakout last season and looks to make another forward. They clearly have an eye on the future with a lot of talent headed to the minors.
Overall
With a nice staff and Bryant anchoring the lineup, Atlanta has a nice foundation. There's plenty of reason that many faces on this roster will change regularly, but the Braves are bound to be in the mix all season.
