Final Result: Milwaukee Brewers 35.3-10.8 @pittsburghpirates
The Brewers overcame a 3 run homer from S.Leon to trounce the Pirates with a couple of home runs from N.Mazara and E.Thames as well as a 3 RBI triple from M.Sano. E.Thames went 2 for 4 with his first home run of the year and his first in the big leagues since 2012 in Wednesdays win over Pittsburgh.E.Thames was the Barry Bonds of the Korean League over 5the past 3 seasons, so the Brewers drafted him in hopes of capturing some of that magic. The early returns have been positive as he's gone 3 for 8 in his first 2 games. Now the 30 year old swinging lefty should enjoy a premium role in Milwaukee's lineup whenever the team faces a right handed starter. N.Mazara went 3 for 4 with a home run and 3 RBI's, he's now posted 2 consectuive multi hit games to open the season, going 5 for 8 against the Pirates who will surely be glad to get away from him. As he approaches his 22nd birthday, the budding lefty slugger appears poised to build on last season's promising 20 home run debut.
